Default Transmission leak on a 95

I'm new to this site, my 1995 van just started leaking trans fluid. It doesn't leak a hole lot, but enough to notice it, in the driveway a few times. I looked under the van it seems to be coming from maybe a seal, not any hoses. Van does surge and buck abit (especially going uphill or when it has a load), but does have correct fluid level, maybe a little low. I know these vans have alot of transmission problems. So what could it be, I have the van in the shop now, but am waiting for them to call to tell what it's problem is. The van has 140,000 miles (3.3liter engine) on it.

What are the most common transmission problems these vans have? thanks in advance.

Have them ck the cooler lines at the radiator, the clamps do come loose and leak. The surge or buck could be a 02 sensor or a missfire. Ck the front of the motor and see if you have a knock sensor. If it does unplug it. this also give you a misfire at times too. There is a TSB to remove the sensor.

Got call back from shop, it was not the transmission, it was the axle leaking, it will cost about $250 to get fix. As for the bucking and hard shifting they changed the fluid and say it would be ok.

I still would like to know some information on the common transmission problems what I might have in the futrue.

Thanks
