I have a 1996 Caravan the I just re-installed the factory stereo in. I can't get the stereo to power up and also the door locks and interior lights now only work with the key in the on position or with the engine running. With the key in the off position or totally out of the ignition the door locks don't work at all electrically, using the buttons on the doors or the remotes.
all help appreciated
Thanks

I have now checked out a few things and I have no power at the radio fuse, there are a bunch of relays on this fuse panel but none are labeled. does anyone have a legend for these relays, I am thinking a relay must also be in this circuit and is maybe at fault.
I don't know about the circuitry. Maybe the anti theft protocols are engages with the key out of the ignition. I don't know who did your work, but maybe you should ask them what was different between the two radios. I suspect the Anti theft bus has a broken connection or improper ground somewhere.
Did you ck the IOD fuse? That fuse powers up the dome lite, door locks and radio. Its the 20amp fuse at the top of the PDC box, under the hood.
