Default 2001 Grand Caravan Sport TCM

Other than paying $350 to get one from the dealer, where is a reliable place to get a replacement Transmission Control Module?

Thanks,
Dan

Did you ask for a reman controller? But you will need the dealer to either load some software or vin number and set the pinion factor.

I didn't call the dealer, my mechanic did. Would the dealer carry re-manufatured parts?

My mechanic said they called around to their usual parts suppliers and the big salvage yards in the area, and nobody had anything but the dealer. I find it hard to believe that with as many Caravans are out on the road, there isn't a ton of aftermarket parts available.

Thanks,
Dan

Zoinks! Turns out that the $350 WAS for a factory refurb. New one goes for $700.

Ouch.
