Replacements for Infinity speakers w/ amps?

Hi. I have a factory Infinity system in my '92 Caravan. It has amps built on the speakers. Three of the six are dead and I'd like to replace them. Are there any currently available speakers I could use for this sort of thing? Standard speakers (I bought some Infinity Reference for my other vehicle) will not work with the head unit because they do not have built-on amps.

Try E-bay or the junk yard as a source for replacements. Do a Google search, there was a page which showed how to rebuild them. I lost the URL in a HD crash, sorry. Any D/C product with the Infinity speakers should be considered as a donor, I think they are all the same within the same year. You could take one of yours out for id purposes. I don't know of any aftermarket replacements and the $tealers are pricey.

Thanks for this. After reading it, it looks like I might be able to salvage my dashboard speakers. They seem to have the faulty bass-blockers he mentions, and they can be bypassed. I think I already destroyed one (or both?) of my door speakers a while back, so I will probably have to replace those.
