Angry none of my blower are working

none of blowers work not even in high which would indicate a resistor problem, everything else works on the controls (doors, a/c, defrost, recurc all work) im stumped, does anyone have any ideas on what is wrong, i suspect the heater control unit

Fuse, plug or bad motor.
Are a few guesses.

Is this the front dash blower and the rear blower?
The one by the passenger sliding door?

Do need more information than blowers not working. And when did it stop blowing. Just like vangonebuy had said, front or rear. Your causes could be blown fuse or bad motor. You need a 12volt test lite and start cking for power and ground at the motor and fuses.

just like i mentioned to vangoeboy it is both the front and the rear blowers are not working.

there is power coming out of the control box on the proper selections but only out or the front blower selector and the best i can get is 8 volt out of the rear blower selector when it should be 24 volts.

24 volts.?

I'd check the relays in the fusebox.
(Long shot) Pull the IOD fuse and let it rest 5 minutes or so. Then put it back in.

Recheck the voltage with the blower motor unplugged.
Should be higher than 8V, If not then a burnt wire possibly.
If it goes up, Then look to the motors.

Yes the control unit is possible..

Can you try to bypass and test the motors?

What year, engine and model?

Strange part is both motors at once........
Is anything else dead?

Keep us posted.

I've checked the relay in the fuse box by switching with good ones.
8 volts is with the blower unplugged and tested on the back of the head unit.
I probably could but do not have a spare battery to jump it off of so i would have to remove from the van to test on the vans battery.
the van is a 2001 with the 3.3 litre engine.
no nothing else is dead, and all of the other fuctions work on the head unit.

where is this iod fuse that you speak of and how is it labeled if it is.
i appreciate this help, im very puzzled by this an very reluctant to pay a dealer to look at it for a 100 dollars an hour, man thats nearly a half days pay for one hour.

Sounds like you are right on the heater control.
Maybe a bypass can test the switch.

The IOD fuse is in the fusebox.
If you look at the top cover inside.
It will list all the fuses.
In the center is the IOD.
It will reset your BCM computer.
Lose your radio presets too.

Good Luck,
Tom
