Hello,
I lost third gear on my '94 3.3l Dodge Grand Caravan. To diagnose it I would like to hook up an oil pressure gauge to the pressure taps on the front of the transmission. However, I do not know what type of fitting the taps require or where to buy such fittings. The ports are a lot smaller than any fitting included with the pressure gauges available at the local auto parts stores.
Can anyone tell me what type of fitting is required and where I can buy one?
Thank You

Do you have 1st and 2nd gear and no 3rd gear? Because if the trans is shifting as i just stated, then you may have a broken hub/with shaft or burnt clutches. In which case I would recommend a tear down.

Yes, I still have first and second. I figure the transmission is probably going to have to come apart but I still would like to diagnose the problem the best I can before I take it out.
Anyone here know where the fittings can be obtained?
Send me an email address and I'll send the pictures of the pressure ports on a pdf file.
