Exclamation 2001 Grand Caravan 3.3 maintenance

Hi everybody....

I have a quick question about my 2001 Grand Caravan 3.3ltr I've just purchased.

It's covered 80k and I don't have a service record although I can see it's been serviced semi regularly. Does it have a cambelt or Chain & is there anything that causes problems I should know about ? If it does have a belt, when should it be replaced ?

It's a chain driven Camshaft. No maintenance interval listed replacement of the chain and gears.

Question

Hi Rabbler

Thanks for the info.....I was hoping that it would be chain drive !! no messy cambelt changes.

Are the power locks supposed to work when you lock the car with the key in the door ? The autolock locks work & so does the lock button on the door panel but if I lock the car with the key it does not ??
Is this normal ?

I think it only works if your van has the factory anti theft option. Not just sentry key.
I'll have to check on mine. I never use the key in the door.
