Default '98 transmission problem - no reverse or OD

right now my '98 with 41te transmission has no reverse. just before that I noticed
that it wasn't going into OD or 4th gear. after 3rd gear it
seems to rev, like it shifted to neutral. (no pull).
1st 2nd, 3rd gears work fine and I can drive around.

any ideas? is this going to be a internal problem or could it
be something else? any chance it's solenoid pack or something that can be reset?

are reverse and OD mechanically related somewhere? seems like they have different clutches?
want to try to understand what is happening.

Its going to be an internal problem, either burnt clutches or broken hub or planetary gears.
