Default 02 GC sliding door problem

My GC's sliding door works fine with the motor. However, it is really difficult to move manually. It feels like the motor is still engaged or something. I took apart the drive mechanism and that was fine. I looked at the cable from the motor to the drive and that seemed fine. The door slides great when I disengaged the drive mechanism. Is there a solenoid there or something?
