Default 2008 grand caravan 4.0 broke a cv shaft

i just bought a 08 caravan 4.0 6spd, boy is it fast, i love the car, i have had it for 1000 miles only and just riped a half shaft out of it. is this a common problem or a fluke. it has 1300 miles total on it now. but still is upsetiing. do they upgrade to drivetrain for the more hp 4.0????

How hard were you driving it?
Were you burning rubber or get stuck?

i wasnt driving that hard, just hit a patch of ice and once it hit the payvment it snapped instanly. but i think it should be made stronger, what is you were driving in the mountauin where ice is more common. its just upsetting

Sounds like a bad shaft, not a common problem.
