The ABS light on my 2003 Dodge Grand Caravan has been on for a couple of months. I had a buddy with an ABS code reader check the code and it came up LR Wheel Speed Sensor Failure. I changed the rear drivers side wheel speed sensor and the ABS light did not go off. Has anyone had this problem before? If so, how did you fix it?

First I would ck to see if its plugged into the connector and two, reck to see if the sensor is upside down. Meaning was it installed right. If those are good, then you'll need to ohm ck the wires.

I'm pretty sure I installed it right but I'll double check. The wire connector clicked when I plugged it in and the sensor end has a groove on it to prevent it from being installed upside down. When thing that was strange is the new sensor had grease all over it. Not the wire connector end. The old sensor had no grease on it. I can understand it of the wire connection end would have some electrical grease on it, but I am a little confused why the sensor end would have grease on it.
All is good now. I went home last night and the ABS light no longer lights up. I didn't have my buddies ABS Tool to clear the code out after I put the new sensor on. It must continue to display for a period of time after it is fixed and then shuts off.
