Default 02 caravan stereo upgrade questions.

I have an 02 GC sport. it has the factory cassette deck. I found an 06 GC with factory CD that someone is parting out. 60 bucks.

Should I go with this?

A CD player would be nice and a factory unit should be an easy, clean, trouble free swap. I think.

The only hesitation I have is I would like an aux. input for when I eventually join the 21st century and get an MP3 player.

Does the factory CD from 06 have an aux. input? Should I just spend a little more and go with an aftermarket unit that has both CD and aux. input?

Not looking for anything hi end. Just a decent sounding system.

TIA

Pete

Get a replacement unit. The console's are different and I'm not sure the stereo will fit.

Many replacements can handle CD's, MP3's, MP3's on disks, aux jack and XM/Sirius.

If your handy, It will take a afternoon. And stereo and face plate/plug adapter are standard at WalMart.
If your not handy, get it installed.

If you want good sound at cheap price's. Get an cassette adapter for your Ipod.
The sound controls will need to be adjusted to make it fuller though.

Good Luck,
Tom
