Slid under my '96 yesterday to replace the fuel filter, looked up and my copmpact spare (original ) had dry rotted to the point of being dangerous (she still had air in her, but the sidewall cracks were deep). So if you do not regularly llok at the spare tire I would suggest a at least annual review.
