Default no a/c front front vents

hi , I hope someone can give some ensite on our problem , .
I just went out and topped up the a/c using a kit .
now the gauge barely moved in to the blue (the kit says blue is charged)
so during testing I notice that the van only blow cold air while the setting is on defrost or floor and defrost . is this normal ?
I though is temperature setting was to cold then it would blow a/c air on all settings .
I noticed that the van does not have a max a/c or a/c switch don't know if that makes a difference or not .
using a temperature gauge it shows 49F is this good temp ? this is our first van with a/c so we don't know that much.

thanks for any help you may be able to give me

Default AC

You should see in the normal mode, +45 -+50 F at the center vents at idle and +40 F at 1500 RPM or greater. Also when the system is at full charge the manifold gauge should read in the 35 psi to 40 psi range. If no air from center vents i would suspect the air distribution motor is not opening the flapper valve for that vent.
