Default Ohh My - O - Ring

I recently replaced the evaporator on my 2000 DGC and have had a slow leak ever since. I recently discovered that the leak is around the evaporator connection to the expansion valve.

I did replace the o-rings when I installed the new evaporator, but obviously somehting went wrong.

QUESTIONS:

- I used a variety pack of green o-rings from Autozone
- I tried to size up the new one with the old one

What should I consider when replacing the o-rings? anyone have a correct size and color(material)

I will be following the instructions I posted here:

Default expansion valve pic

Thank the Lord, it looks like the valve can come out from the firewall and not have to remove the dash!!! See the pic below. - note the threaded holes in the evaporator mount braket.
