Default 05 Grand Caravan noise when turning??

All,
I have a thumping noise when turning the wheel on my 05 Gran Caravan. It is on the left side and sounds like its coming from the spring when the Wheel is turning. Is there a bearing or bushing on top of the spring that can go bad?

Does this happen when you are driving or parking the van?

I had that same noise on my 05. I had my fingers on the coil spring and while my dad moved the wheel i was able to feel the spring catch and release. I replaced the whole strut assy but I believe it was the mount or the isolator.
