Exclamation *HELP* Pressure rod/linkage Spring

Possible solution to my '92 tranny issue....After a PCV valve was replaced last week, the spring that goes from the top of the manifold to the throttle body/pressure rod linkage broke and wasn't found. Could this be the shifting issue????? I have a new spring, question is what is the exact placement of this spring. There are three potential attach points on the linkage.....Help and thank you.

Dave
