2003 Grand Caravan oil consumption

Oil consumption My 2003 Dodge Grand Caravan is consuming about a quart of oil every 3000 miles. I have about 114000 miles on engine. I change my oil and filter every 3000 miles. I don’t see any leaks; what do you think is the problem?

1 quart in 3kmi is well within normal consumption especially with over 100k on the clock. I would not worry about it.

good timing...oil low just as you do an oil change.

Agree with above post...For peace of mind- check engine ventilation (PCV) .. could inspect spark plugs for evidence of oil burning...

I ASSUME you have done a through ck for leaks.. park same location look for evidence of oil leak...

Next oil change try one of the High Mileage oils and see if that helps the consumption.
