I only have one fob but can get another for cheap. (unused) My manual says i need 2 fobs to reprogram. Is there a way to reprogram a new fob with only one working one? I've seen on this forum it can be done but have not found that for my particular vehicle. any suggestions would be helpful as I really do not want to go to dealer$$$ if I can avoid it.

You need 2 fobs to program a third one, that is so no one can take your keys and make a duplicate. If you only have one that works, you will need to pay the dealer to program the second one for you. After that you can program as many as you want as long as you have 2 working units.

The dealer can program up to six remotes, with a starscan. thats the scanner the dealer uses for C.A.N bus systems.

thanks for the info. I have two fobs on the way. Dealer says it costs $50 to program. I don't know if they will program more than one for the same price.
