Anything to add?

CEL- is it on?
recient repairs, modifications, accident?

If nothing above applies,
remove key put in pocket
parking brake on
  1. Park the vehicle on level ground and apply the parking brake.
  2. Place the gearshift lever in gated park (P) and remove ignition key.
  3. Loosen the cable adjustment screw at the transmission manual valve lever.
  4. Pull the gearshift lever fully forward to the park position.
  5. Release the park brake, and rock the vehicle to make sure it is in park. Reset the park brake.
  6. Tighten the cable adjustment screw to 70 in. lbs. (8 Nm). Gearshift cable should now be properly adjusted.
  7. Make sure the vehicle can only be started in Park and Neutral.

No CEL is on, When it first started hapenning, the whole prnd321 wasnt marking properly, I removed the IOD Fuse and reset the battery, then i noticed when you put it in park, it shows it in reverse, so the reverse lights are on, and you cant open the rear gate b/c it thinks the van is in gear.
Any more info, please let me know

I would like to add, that when it is in park and shows reverse, that it is in actual park, it wont move.

A shifter code will not cause the ck engine lite to come on. There is a test for the shifter error code, but you will need a DRB scanner. The problem could be a TRS or the prndl circuit board. Try unplugging the TRS connector with the key off and plug it back into the sensor. you may have a bad contact.

Where is the TRS Sensor Connector? I willl try to do that and see if it solves the problem. when I first got the van it was messing up alot on the PRND Screen, it wasnt marking right, but after I took the IOD Fuse Out and back in and reset the battery,, it went back to normal except for the P and R Mishap.

The TRS connector is below the output sensor, Should be 8 wires going into the connector.
