Default 2000 GC blower control issues

when the blower switch is on any other fan speed except the highest, it will not turn on. A friend told me a resistor somewhere by the firewall is responsible for this, is anyone familiar with this problem or the solution? Thanx

Here it is, the resistor just snaps in the square opening.
I removed mine by unpluging cable and pried it out with a flat head.

The 2000 caravan uses this type of resistor:

Lol, love how it is $23 on eBay!

This cost me $16.50 incl tax last summer at Napa.

yeah, you can get them local for a better price. I got mine at a upull-it wrecking yard for 2.00 a few years ago.

That was not my auction, I just found it and listed it as a reference for what he needed because it was handy with a large photo of the part.

Dealership here has them for about 20 bucks as well.
