lol Its on the fuel tank next to the fuel pump.........its holding in place with a 10mm bolt......n it comes usually with the 2 hoses.......you press on the white tabs n pull the hose carefully........

Release the fuel pressure 1st by pulling out the fuel pump relay in the engine bay.....n starting the car till it stalls.....then u can work under the car.........and to be ultra safe......remove the negative pole on the battery too

I got under there and saw a couple of black hoses around the tank, but no filter.. You say its on top the tank ? Please explain, thanks, Ted O.

Its right in the middle of the tank.....on top of the tank....u can reach it from crawling under the car from the passenger side

there is no external fuel filter on an 02, its in the tank. the previous body style had them on top of the tank.
