Default Winter Tires for 2009 GC

Hi all. I have a 2009 Dodge GC with 17s. Recommended winters are 225/65-16, alternates are 215-70-16. I have 4 brand new 215/65-16's. Anyone know any reason I couldn't use these: warranty, ABS, ???????
Tx much.

Your speedo will get thrown off by quite a bit. Whatever else gets affected from that, I don't know. I would guess the 215 65 16 is 2 to 2.5 inches smaller than what you have on there, although I'm not a tire expert and don't know for sure where the measurements are taken. Also not sure about what the thinner tire will do, but I assume they put 225's on there in the first place for a reason.

Tx Dan. I'd of the speedometer and therefore odometer issue but didn't realize the implications. Just talked to the dealer - speedo will be off by 5.3% but the tires will fit and there's no warranty issues...

The only warranty issue would be it would be disappearing 5.3% faster, but at least when you drive, the speedo will be reading faster than you are actually going, so less chance of getting in trouble that way.
