engine cranks strong but takes a long time to start
The engine cranks over for a good long time before it starts and runs. It will run fine once it gets going. It has new plugs, wires, fuel filter, and air filter. I have not checked the pressure in the lines, but am hesitant to think fuel since it runs strong once it going. Any real ideas would be appreciated.

Welcome to DF
Here is a TSB,But you didn't have a year and engine size. So i took a shot in the dark. I would recommend to ck your fuel pressure 58psi give or take 5 psi.

Flash - Driveability Improvements
OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves selectively erasing and reprogramming the Powertrain
Control Module (PCM) with new software.
MODELS:
2004 (RG) Chrysler Voyager (International Markets)
2004 (RS) Town & Country/Caravan/Voyager
NOTE: This bulletin applies to RS and RG vehicles equipped with a 3.3L or 3.8L
engine (sales code EGA, EGH or EGM) built prior to December 10, 2003 (MDH 1210xx).
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
3.3L
• Rough Idle after a cold engine start-up.
• Throttle hesitation after a cold engine start-up.
• Long crank time during hot temperature start-up.
• Surge between 40 to 50 MPH.
• A/C cycling too frequently in high ambient temperature above 32 C (90 F).
3.8L
• Abrupt throttle kickdown upon initiation of cruise control resume function.
• Long crank time during hot temperature start-up.
• Surge between 40 to 50 MPH.
• A/C cycling too frequently in high ambient temperature above 32 C (90 F).

Before trying to start it, turn the key to the on position for a few seconds. If this is a case of the fuel draining back past the check valve, this will let the pump build pressure back up. If it starts normally, the pump assembly is your problem. If the problem were a leaking injector, you would get black smoke on startup which you didn't mention.

Static fuel pressure is 35psi = car engine off or at rest pressure.
53psi to 58tpsi effective pressure engine running idle with load it should stay in that range.
What year and model,, engine liter ?
