'03 4cyl 2.4L timing belt let go :( Question.

yes it is a 2.4 always mixing up my 1994. How hard is it to replace timing belt? My brother tried on one of his cars and said it was VERY tight. He ended up paying a local dodge mech. on his off time. The van has 188K and I don't any history. Trans fluid was about the color if ice tea so don't think maintenance was a big concern.

The 1994 timing belt are have a tensioner that is not the same on the newer 2.4L vans. You'll need a wrench that has a weight on the end of it. And you also need to keep the counter shaft lined up too. It is a little more work than the newer vans.
