Default got my front blower motor fixed

It was in my 03 Grand Caravan Sport. Got it replaced new for $249 at a local shop.

Not sure how they did it with out taking the dash out but they said it was not easy. works fine now

I have read shops and DIYers will just break the fan housing to avoid removing the dash to get that final bolt out. It apparently does no harm. I've also read that bolt can be removed without removing the dash. In any case, the price seems a bit high but not all that bad. It's fixed and your headache is gone.

That's not a high price, pretty reasonable. I get more than that in just labor.

Shop labor was $72.50 and hour and it took them two hours and the part from the dealer was $98.00 plus tax.

The place was Mustang Auto Repair in Friendswood,Texas (Just south of Houston)

Now all I have to do is fix the sagging headliner and then the van will be mint condition.

Could save $50 on the blower buying aftermarket. Not a big deal though.

I saw the $50 blower on ebay, but I know that the reapair place would not waranty the part and just the labor. So if the blower failed I would have to pay two hours labor to get it replaced and then have the hassel of sending the old one back to China or where ever it was shipped from. If the motor fails they are on the hook for parts and labor

I want to trade in the van for a Hemi charger or a 300C but wife says no

We would have to pick up payments for the Charger or 300, The van will be paid off soon so I understand what she is saying. Her student loans will be comming due soon so the van payment will go to that.

She has a 09 Nissan Rogue SL That we will be paying on for a while and the payments are kinda high but its what she wants.

I had a 2000 Z28 and sold that when our little girl was 9 months old so im having muscle car withdraw.

Anyone else in the same situation?
