Default Antifreeze type?

I need to replace my water pump, but like to get more antifreeze. I heard about only use HOAT antifreeze. I noticed that Prestones brands can be mixed with any color antifreeze.Does the container say anywhere that it has HOAT, or is there a special brand. Anyone help me with this issue would be great. 2005 DGC, 3.8. Thanks.

Ford also has HOAT which is cheaper than MOPAR but is more expensive than Zerex GO-5. Zerex is the best way to go. NAPA may not have it in stock but can have it the next day.

Do not mix with other coolants !!!

Majority of the Coolants are HOAT, Only OAT coolant I know of is GM Dex-cool.
Chrysler, Ford, and many Import uses HOAT in general.

But even HOAT has different corrosion inhibitors. The Older Green Coolants from Chrysler are Phorsphorous Base coolants. The Newer Red Coolants are Silica based Coolants. You should NOT interchange them, using Silica based coolants will significantly shorten Waterpump life on Vehicle not designed for it.

Most of the Aftermarket "All make and Model" coolants are fine, they usually contains extremely low silica content. I usually go with Prestone or Peak brand wise. Just because these 2 brand has been there since Car existed.
