Default Removing water pump bolts

3.8 06 caravan

I will remove water pump soon. How can I ensure that I don't break off bolts prior to it's removal. I want to make 100% sure, if there is such a likely probability?

I can't work on the van where I live, and i can't leave my van overnight where i plan to remove it, so i don't want any broken bolts.

you really can't. You can spray some penetrant on the back side of the bolts that come all the way through. It's not very common but it does happen.

Well i was successful. Removed water pump pulley and pump with socket and wrench. I was patient and plenty of liquid wrench squirted into and around bolts.
