Default 09 Dodge Grand Caravan SRT4 Swap

Hello,

I have a 2009 Dodge Grand Caravan and I am wanting to eventually swap the 3.8L out for a 2.4L out of an SRT4. I am not having any luck finding a website that has any information about the motor swap on the new caravans. If anyone has any website suggestions please send me a link.

Thanks!

Just curious what your plan is? Seems like you'll be giving up a lot of torque on tap for a turbo setup. My bet is since the weight of your van is so much more than an SRT4 you'll work those turbos hard, probably have worse gas mileage than you're 3.8 and drivability will not be as good. Are you just looking for more horsepower or looking for an interesting project? Sorry not trying to slam your idea, just wondering if it will give you what you're looking for.

This is a new motor rated at 293 hp and has good low end torque to match. It's so new that I haven't seen any aftermarket goodies for it just yet. But, it's also a motor that crosses all of the Chrysler platforms so goodies should be coming soon if the software can be hacked. Chrysler, in it infinite wisdom, has encrypted their software starting in the 2011 model year on any new vehicle. Until someone like Diablo Sport cracks the sofware, no turbos or superchargers.

Yup! and the charger and the 300. My van weighs about 4,400 lbs and it's pretty quick.
