Default 2008 Grand Caravan rear sway bar noise?

Just got four new tires all around and new rear shocks on wife's 2008 Grand Caravan SE. Immediately we started noticing sounds from the driver's side rear when hitting bumps. Took it back, they replaced both rear shocks and checked everything out, and no joy--same sound.

I have a 2001 Caravan that's gone through bad front-end sway bar bushings to the point where I now consider the noise just a part of the glorious minivan experience. It's a similar sound. So the mechanic and I think it's worn rear bushings on the 2008 van.

So, (1) you think we're on the right path? (2) is it coincidence or you think putting on the new shocks and tires precipitated the problem? and (3) how do you get at the rear sway bar bushings? The sway bar appears to be encased in a perforated metal tube. Tks.
