FYI made an appointment with dealer for $125 figured I couldn't go wrong after I started reading the instructions.
Got checked in at the service desk guy says it will be about two hours, I say I''ll wait.
3 hours later he comes in the waiting room and says follow me( I'm thinking)
We go back to the bay and the mechanic is there with my car totally torn apart dash off, radio out, wires hanging all over, all doors wide open, hood up, side kick panels removed, the service Manager says this is where were at its a very complicated job.
I have a free rental for you we'll call you tomorrow. Next day a bout lunch he calls and says it's done. Yeah $125 the price quoted I know they lost money on that one. Before I leave the service manger says aftermarket starters are much easier to install and the OEM starters are a real pain if the car don't come with it. I kind of figured that out because I have installed aftermarket starters on 3 /4 cars. But I wanted an OEM on this one. So the point is don't try to install an OEM starter use an aftermarket unless you want to live at the dealers for a day or two.
I saved a bunch of money by purchasing the remote on e bay. Total cost $250.
