Tuner for 3.6 Pentastar Caravan/T&C
Hi folks.
I haven't been around on this forum for quite some time because, frankly, got too busy. But in the past year I've bought both a 3.6 Chrysler 200S and because I liked it so much my wife got a 3.6 Grand Caravan.
Recently the AVenger and 200 crowd have lobbied hard and long to get Diablosport to create a tune for our 3.6 6Speed FWD cars. I bought one last week and started using it Thursday night. It's very impressive, and desirable even if just to fine tune certain things like tire sizes (I don't know about you but in the past I've had to buy the Hypertech tuners specifically because I change tire sizes on my Durango and my Suburban often.)
Some of the 200/Avengers are just barely cracking 14 or 14.1 with E85 and the top tune with otherwise fairly stock vehicles, including Eagle LS2 tires in some cases.
So...having praised Diablosport and MikeL on their forums I then hinted that I would really love it if they would get a tune for the minivan VIN's since it's basically the same powertrain PCM right down to the 6speed. MikeL responded that I could go ahead and start another thread and see if there's any interest.
Before I do that I thought I'd hit you all up and see if any of you would actually get on there and support it. What do you think?
Be advised that you'd really only want to spend the 400-450 on an InTune and 500 to 600 on a Trinity (depending on where you buy) if you were going to fool around with your vans at the track, or at least harass the Passat next you at the light. I understand it does represent a significant investment in a "toy" for most of us. But in my case, I have some marketing for my books that will be going on our van soon and I thought it would be perfect to run a 15-second Minivan at the strip with a vehicle wrap to turn some heads. I'm also contemplating developing forced induction on this car of some (mild 5-8psi) type with their tuner first before my car because there's a little more room. (Essentially RIPP and TidalWave superchargers use DiabloSport Custom Tunes to get setup.) So are there any of you that are crazy like me and thought it was fun to run the first gen vans with turbo 2.2 and 2.5's and 5speeds at the strip that would seriously consider purchasing something for your modern vans?

I'm disappointed in the total response. I don't think that the average population base of the forum really understands the potential of a tuner. For the heck of it, look here.
