Default 2010 Grand Caravan Error Codes from the Dash

Hi Everyone,

I'm both happy and sad to meet you all. Sad because I have Dodge problems. Happy because I've found people to share them with.

I have a 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan stuck in "limp mode". I've been Googling and found how to get the error codes off the trip meter because I don't have an OBD ... yet.

S 73.4
= 1031.0 >> the "=" is like a high and low bar.
C 83.7
L 60.5
cF.9

Indeed there are a few things going on with my van. AC is not working and I have 2 no wifi valves on my tires so that throws an error.

Do any of you know where I can find a list to translate these into the more common "P" codes?

Thanks in advance,
Randy

I have a 2010 aand I thought that you could not read them with the on and off 3 times to see what they where. you need a code reader? how did you perform this?

Hi,

I found a video on YouTube. There are many but this is the only one that worked for me.

So I turned key to ON and set to Trip A and held reset for 10 seconds. Then I did the on off and there were the codes. Yeah ... I have no idea what they mean so I need a translation. Unless there is a way to get the computer to change the way it outputs the codes.

Regards,
Randy

Interesting. My van momentarily shifted today. I was able to run the shifter from 1 thru D. Then, back to limp mode.

Hi,

I was able to borrow a scanner from a friend and it came up with 2 main codes P0934 and P1745. Picture attached. How this relates to the codes I pulled off the dash I haven't the foggiest.

The P1745 sounds expensive though.

Regards,
Randy

I think you have a pressure sensor problem. It's in the valve body. Is the fluid Low ??

The P1745 is for transmission line pressure too high for too long and P0934 is line pressure sensor circuit too low. Line pressure is electronically controlled by the Transmission Control System and is measured by the Line Pressure Sensor (LPS).
Possible causes for P0934 per the service manual:
(F856) 5-Volt Supply Circuit Open
(F856) 5-Volt Supply Circuit Shorted to ground
(T38) Line Pressure Signal Circuit Shorted to ground
Line Pressure Sensor
Powertrain Control Module (PCM)

Thanks guys. I'll be looking for a local mechanic to help me with repair. Its re-assuring to know what these codes are and what some of the repair options are before agreeing to a repair.

Cheers,
Randy

Oh yeah, I forgot to ask about this. When the van is cold at the beginning of the day I can manually put it through all the gears, 1 2 3 4 and D. Once I get moving though it will stay on D no matter what and the transmission no longer shifts and remains in what I assume is 2nd gear or limp mode.

Does that little bit of info help narrow down the possible repair?

Thanks again,
Randy

get it to a shop soon as possible for verification of oil level. if extremely low and u keep driving it you just going to end up with a tranny rebuilt.
