Default braided brake line?

Anyone using braided brake hose/line for the calipers? Is this less likely to deteriorate than the the rubber? How's the price difference between the two?

Thx

If offered, it's probably quite a bit more expensive. For $12 a side for the rubbers that lasted over 170k on my van and over 210k on my car, I feel like having to do them once or twice isn't a big deal.
My $.02

I agree with you, but $12 a side? can you point me in the direction of where to find that? Cheapest I've found so far is $22 per side.

Thanks!

EDIT: I wanted to clarify that I'm not being snarky/catty. I just re-read my post and noticed it could come off that way.

It's weird to me that mine are $10 cheaper. They don't look much different.

Wonder if they interchange? I know a lot of parts do, they just won't tell people that.

what I might do is see if they have both in stock when I go in to get mine and do a side by side comparison. If I remember to I'll do that and report what I find

I ended up getting the part from NAPA, it was $18 with my community college discount, so I figured that was best. The box didn't have any of the copper washers though, so hopefully I can find the 2 that came with my new caliper. Otherwise, I had him note the receipt so I can go back and grab em later.
