Default Sounds when turning of the steering wheel.

I own an '02 Grand Caravan and I can hear sounds when I turn left or right at low speed. Any ideas where to look? Thanks

Lol. What kind of sounds? Where are the sounds coming from? You need to be a little bit more descriptive. This helps us help you. Also please state the engine, mileage, etc. we are not mind readers.

(Just got 3 weeks ago) 3.8L and has 130k mi. It is like a grinding noise when I turn left or right in the driveway and the van is in drive but the wheels are barely moving. Like when one tries to drive out of a tight parking space. Thank you.

Check your brakes. Check your CV joints, check to see if a tire is contacting the fender liner.

I will check CV joints and power steering reservoir over the weekend.
Thank you both and Happy Thanksgiving to you.

I just replaced the power steering reservoir and the power steering fluid (by disconnecting the 2 hoses to the small radiator under the van).
The part was $15 (free shipping) from ebay. Cut the old reservoir and found the fine filter to be clogged up 95%. No more whining sounds when steering at low speed.
Also inspected the CV joints and found a broken booth on the right side.
I will have to address that problem soon.

Usually you can just bleed the pump by short runs without the reservoir, then put the new resevoir in and put ATF+4 trans fluid in.

The easiest PS pump to change on 3rd and 4th gen is still a headache to change.

When you do "short runs" the PS fluid will still be in the system plus you can damage the PS pump. When you drain the fluid from the lowest point all fluid gets out of the system.
OK, for only $65 I got a new right hand side CV joint. When inspected, the seal to the transmission was leaking. Replaced both and no more trans. fluid leaks. Thanks all.
