OK, you CAN get a used one if you want. They can program it to your van and when they do the procedure with the scan tool, it will write your VIN into the used one. Same goes for a rebuilt one at a parts store.

This one i found at junk yard i didn't get it tho because it was a different software update # and it was out of a 3.3 not a 3.8 and it had a egr valve. But i believe the module #"s from factory are the same not sure if it will work if reprogrammed

I can't tell you anything by part numbers. The "base" PCM number before software install can be different than what's on the label now. You will have to look at build options according to the VIN numbers.

Yeah, the internet operations are typically shady

BTW, 100 bucks is what a dealership charges. The guy's not doing you any favors.
For future reference just so ur aware you can use hptuners on a pcm that has skim and turn it off to where u don't have to have a fob for you immobilizer. I'm not trying to be rude or anything. Ur facts were just in correct. Took me 3 months to figure this out. Seeing I'm used to Chevy and Ford. What your thinking is bypassing it. You cannot bypass skim only vats and pats.
