Have a 1990 GC with a (new not rebuilt) motor and only 20k on it. at about 17k the tranny(third since purchased in 90) would kick into neutal when the van gets good and warm or since in live in a warm climate on hot days. I put it up for the past three years but my sons and I want to make it a project car. today drove the car to my garage and just let it run to get the garbage out of the lines. and after 45 minutes of running the van is stuck in front of my garage.I remember taking it to a dealer and they said there were no codes. That made me buy a Ford. Can somebody help me out here?[:@]

 

Could be the filter is severly clogged causing the pump to loose prime/pressure.
