Default Inspecting front brakes on 1991 Dodge Caravan

I was wondering if the 1991 dodge caravan front brakes are simmilar to the 1997 dodge neon sport. The van makes the sharp "metal to metal" noises when the brakes are applied. Sometimes you even hear it when the brakes are not applied. I know the 1997 dodge neon sport's brake system, but i wanted to know if the 1991 dodge caravan was the same or very similar. Also, are the van's rotors "loose". i mean once i remove the wheel and the brake caliper, will the rotor be "free" or will it be "seperately bolted"? thanks.

Disc brakes are pretty much universal. The same wear characteristics apply to all different kinds.
The rotors on my wife's '92 are loose when you remove the caliper.
