Default 97 caravan sport 3.3L shift problem

Seems to only happen on cold morning starts. Van starts fine put into R no prob. Get out of driveway will not shift into D or any other gear for that matter. If put back into P and rev motor for few minutes will eventually go into gear. After that no prob for rest of day. Any suggestions?

Low on transmission fluid.

Is it only like that on cold mornings? If you check it and it has enough transmission fluid, then the issue is that the transmission fluid needs to warm-up to where it isn't so thick.
