Power side door stops

I have an '02 GC and when you push the button to open the side door, the door pops out and stops. When the door is completely open, the door will close fine when the button is pushed. I have heard that it could be the latch causing the issue. If it is the latch, will lubing it fix it or does it need replaced? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I'm having the same issue. I tested the lower wire harness, stop switch and all are good. I'm leaning toward the rear latch needing replacement. I don't believe lubing would do anything because it's an electrical problem. Stay tuned!
