Default Camshaft sensor

I have a 97 Caravan with 3.3l engine. Last month I replace the camshaft sensor when it went bad.I went about 3 weeks and it died again. Not thinking it was the sensor I replaced the ignition coil and fuel pump. I bought a code reader and it is telling me the sensor again. Now when playing with the adjustment of the sensor I can tell when it is touching the cam because something clicks in the relay box. Can something on the camshaft be broken not causing the sensor to be sensed???
any ideas will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Mike

Default RE: Camshaft sensor

An update to my post. After taking it to the mechanic. He found the new camshaft sensor was bad and the crankshaft sensor was also bad. both must have went bad at the same time???? The camshaft sensor was the second new one Autozone. What are the odds of getting bad snesors off the shelf???
