Default caravan 2001 having problems with horn

I have a dodge caravan 2001 and I am having problems with the horn. I've checked both fuses and they are good. I can't locate the horn itself to test it. If anyone has an idea where to look I would appreciate it.

Is your air bag light and you cruise controll not working? If so it is probably the clock-spring in the steering column.

I agree with the clockspring as the problem also.It could still be bad even if the air bag light is on or cruise wont work

Please elaborat. The cruise control and horn on our 2001 have suddenly quit working. Also, turning the steering wheel all the way to the left sometimes causes odd clicking sounds. Horn still works - hit the lock button on the remote and it beeps, but the actuator on the steering wheel will not blow it.

Please tell me more about this clockspring and what is involved in repair.

The air bag needs to be removed to replace the clockspring so I would check with the dealer and see if it is under recall and let them do it..

I own a 97 Caravan which had the cruise control & horn quit, along with the air bag light illuminate, 5 years ago.

I replaced the clockspring myself (it is a wide, thin white wire which is wound around the steering column like a clockspring), below the horn pad. The steering wheel had to be removed along with the airbag. Easy to do, just disconnect battery, wait 20 mins. and then the airbag won't deploy.

2 years later, these vans were recalled for this problem, I submitted my bill & Chrysler paid me back.
