RE: installing car starter
I'm gettig ready to put a remote starter in our '05. I still need to figure out what wires to hook it to. The kit has decent instructions but the wire guide doesnt go up to 05. I do know they need a security bypass, as they use the Passkey(or some name like that) system. I have the bypass, but it requires sacrificing the $150 spare key, it simply puts the key in a coil, and transmits the key signal to the switch, where another coil is wrapped. I plan, right now annyway, to not use the bypass, just leave the key in the ign. It will only be used at home, and we live in a rather remote area where tis is an acceptable alternative.
