Remember guys it's a concept show car and those over the top wheels are there to make an impression. I'll say again they know the competition will be the Mustang and Camaro and this type of bling I'm sure they realize will not be needed on the production vehicle.

I think the car would look horible with only 17" wheels, that was the one ugly part of the original Challenger IMO, those small wheels look stupid, those small wheels are also why a modern full size pickup can out handle an muscle car from the 60-70's, and since new rims are made out of a much lighter weight material you're not really adding all that much to the rotational weight anyways, now yeah to low profile doesn't look good either, but 20" with that profile tire looks great, now 22-24" with a lower profile to maintail that same OD would look stupid.

so you honestly think that a set of lightweight 15 or 16 inch aluminum weld race wheels wouldnt have less unsprung weight than those gawdy 20/21s?
i also dont know if i buy the idea that a new truck can outhandle an old muscle car because of the rims/tires..suspension technology, along weight weight distribution has come a LONG way..and by your standards, my ramcharger with 15s could outhandle a friend of mine's modded civic with 14 inch wheels, that runs 12s?
20s are for homies in the projects, and those who dont care about going fast..thats why tire companies dont make GOOD race tires in ghetto sizes...a set of these tucked under that *** end would look much better, and perform much better...(especially if they were cleaned up)

I think the challenger is awsome and I would buy one If it stayed affordable.but for now i just have to settle for my 1992 hemi daytona the way dodge should have built it,kind of the way they should have built the charger ,hopefully they get the challenger right .theres more on the daytona in the daytona forum.sur hope I can wait until 2010 to get my challenger and not give in and get a mustang(just joking!)
