Default Can a hemi replace a 2.7 engine?

Got a friend with a charger with a 2.7 engine. Can a 5.7 hemi bolt to a 42rle?

It will not. This swap is a big project and a LOT of work ($$$$$) .................You will pretty much have to swap out the entire drive train & the control modules, and every wiring harness, suspension, brakes, etc............... you are better off buying a used 5.7 car for the kind of prices I've seen. You'll never get your investment back at resale...

Ok. I found a salvage hemi and was about to get it. I'll see what he wants to spend for the transmission and PCM.

I think he said his car is almost paid for and he doesn't want another car note. I found a salvage running hemi for $800. Is a Ram 1500 transmission suitable for this project?
