Default Help with 1959 Dodge Pickup



Ijust inherited a 1959 Dodge Pickup from my grandfather. He drove it 2 weeks before he died discovered it had a fuel problem, cannot control what comes out of the carb, suspect fuel pump. Any ideas help me plz.</P>


Also would like to continue OEM,plan to rebuild. Any ideas plz help.</P>

Sounds like a stuck float or needle valve. take your fuel line off,and remove the needle valve assmblely(thats what your fuel line hook to on the carb)should be a 9/16's blow it out good and spray it with carb cleaner.that should stop your flooding problem.

sound's to me like a sucken float. I bet if you replace the float it'll run fine.
thats what happend to my 80 Dodge.....
