Default Chassis swap for '55 Dodge truck?

Hi all. I'm new to the thread, so be gentle

I have a '55 that is is pretty good shape. The body is solid. I am looking to get it going. I plan on keeping it sleepy. I have a 440 already built waiting on a place to go. My main goal is to go fast and stop quick. I want this to be a fun ride, but don't want to spend a lot on modifications that aren't really necessary.

So my question is do I modify the existing frame or do a swap?

Help a GIRL out!

years ago i talked to a guy that was putting the front part of the frame from a 72-76 dodge pick up frame. and cut the front frame off a 57 pick up. and the72 frame fit in to the 57 frame. so you get the newer suspension and engine mount. but double check the demintions out.
