I just talked to the dealer and explained how I was looking for a way to reduce transmission slippage under load. I explained to him that it was my understanding that a vavle body upgrade would help to accomplish this , and he agreed. I asked him what would installing an aftermarket VB do to my factory trans warranty and he said nothing. The only way that a repair wouldn't be covered is if the aftermarket VB was the cause of the break. So... Looks like I gotta choose what brand to go with.BD seems like the best price. Does anyone have any comments or experience that could help me out? I'm pretty much ready to order, but I'm going to wait and listen to any experienced souls. Thanks (special thanks to drew who threw me on to the idea)

Good to hear!! I also talked to the service manager at the dealer I deal with and he has no ill feelings with my mods, as he said " I have no problems with the mods infact I like them.... but if you go to another dealer they may not accept the mods and you may have issues.." Not only does he like my mods so far he also said " best looking 3500 I've seen so far!" made my day.
Without a doubt.I've had my '06 for 10 months and put 25k miles on it.Installed the lift, tires, bullydog, exhaust, and CAI all around 10K miles. Run her hard, but take great care of her. Change oil every 3K, fuel filter every 2 or 3K. No probs. Sure the changes are a little expensive to do so often, but there is no machine that can tollerate the use/abuse that these beasts eat and politely ask for more of. This is my second Cummins and I have come to the conclusion that one of themainreasonsa personwould ever get a new one is to have a new interior and a dent free, shiney new paint job Ok, I also didn't raise my old one so I didn't know some of the abuse and neglect that it recieved from the previous owner and that really bugged me, so that was like 95% of why I sold it.
yea they do say they dont mind mods. blah blah blah but if you havea aftermarket valve body 75% of tech out there are gonna be like valve body caused the concern... im a journeyman tech for VW and it happens all the time... we are a vw only dealer but we do deal with an outside aftermarket company for chipping cars and all the facy race car parts. cai's turbos, so on and so forth.... and alot of the techs here the secound they see aftermarkt they go the the service manager and cry bloody murder.. it happens all the time.. now that car dident lose its warrenty but just everything that componet could affect...

YOU GUY'S ROC
Cool, thanks Drew. I hadn't even seen the suncoast unit. I hope Steve will share some of his experiences with his purchase. Thanks for the responses guys!
That's what I would be affraid of. The aftermarket part has to be the cause, for what ever part went out. I'm sure that a few line tech's and a service manager could make up quit a few reasons why the aftermarket part caused the issues that lead to a parts failure just to get out of doing warranty work. Even though you and me know's it didn't.
Yeah, I have some input on this but now is not the time for it... (sittiing in a waiting room) hold off on ordering anything till I get back to this thread...
