Default RE: DIY alloy wheel restore

could still look better if I spent more time near the mounting holes, also as Joel mentioned the Mothers ball might be able to be used to clean up the larger holes on the insides. they dont look to clean up easily for some reason.

Default RE: DIY alloy wheel restore

Another great product to aid in polishing dirty old wheels is called "NEVR-DULL". It combines the polishing compound and the wadding/steel wool in one can. Works great on alluminum and chrome wheels. You might still need to use #000 steel wool first then finish off with nevr-dull ..

I've been meaning to pick up one of those polishing balls but keep forgetting. It would work great with
a paste that comes in a tube called "semi-chrome". It'sreally gritty and polishes alluminum to look like chrome...

Nice job on the wheels...I know it's a lot of hard work!

Dizzy from the fumes, white knuckled, holding the wheel hostage... got half dozen buzzin' barrelin' towards hell with a brick on the pedal....
