6.7L G30 Recall

I took my 07 2500 6.7L in for the recall. The dealer stated that they reprogrammed the ECM, but the Oxygen Sensor Module did not require replacing. They did not update the sticker as they normally did when I had the ECM reprogrammed. I'm working withthem on that issue, but they still insist that the Oxygen Sensor Module does not require replacing. Have any of the other 6.7L owners experienced the same?

The recall notice also stated that this service would correct the "Inspection Maintenance (Readiness)" test, however my MIL still blinks during start-up indicating it is unable to pass the emissions test. The light clears as soon as the engine starts. Any thoughts?

Lastly, I'mno longerexperiencing the MIL issues relating to the regeneration process, however, my milage has dropped to about 12.5 mpg. I'm not sure if this is due to the reprogram or the cold weather we have been experiencing here lately. I do drive short distances to work and a fair amount of in town driving. I was getting between 15-17 previously.

One more issue, but not strictly diesel related. Last weekend my truck would not start and the security light remained on with the key in the on position. I had to have the security module replaced and all keys reprogrammed. The dealer stated this was a pretty common problem among the entire RAM lineup.

The Oxygen Sensor Module must be replaced and the Engine Control Module
(ECM) must be reprogrammed (flashed).

The above is straight off the G30 recall dealer service instructions.....

My Ram was delivered in May 2007, and I have not taken it back to the dealer for any service. I am probably two updates behind for my ECM software. After hearing about problems some 6.7 owners are having after the dealer services it, I am hesitant to bring it in for the recall. I don't want to fix what isn't broken.

I am in the same place Joel, I am very reluctant to go back, my truck runs great!!! And I don't want that to change. I am one program behind, and I am going to start checking on the dealerships around here to find out who is most capable.... Anyone dealing with them here in socal, where do you take yours.

watch out, i had the G30 recall done and now i get check engine lights all of the time. it has been back 3 times for a reflash to reset the code. the tech said he will put in new O2 sensors (again), and 5 minutes later he came out and said the sensors are backordered until april. he said it was ok to run with the fault light on, but i might loose some mileage, as if it wasn't bad enough.

WOW I 'm really sad to hear about all of these problems with the 6.7's.

Is it all Gores fault, or is it a Dodge issue? Sounds like there are a LOT of electronic sensors and other useless crap going haywire.

My driving style is similiar to mplebra's. I had mine done about a month ago. As far as I know the O2 sensor was replaced. I haven't noticed any issues other than the drop in fuel economy - down to around 12 mpg. That could be due to the cold weather A.M. idiling though.

What does "MIL" stand for, and how do you know when the truck is in the regeneration process?
